Dr. Abdullatif (Bud) Zaouk is a scientist, engineer, and visionary committed to engineering innovation that promotes safety, efficiency and a path to next-generation technology. Bud is a serial entrepreneur dedicated to making the world a safer place through technology solutions and engineering services that have a positive impact on the world. He works side by side with his team each day to see this vision through to reality and is a dedicated partner to our manufacturing customers, ensuring they are able to safely accelerate production and time-to-market.
Bud’s principled management and passion for excellence inspire his team to deliver innovative approaches to complex customer problems. An avid mountain climber and outdoor enthusiast, Bud knows that you reach the summit through perseverance.
Always interested in the mechanics of “how things work,” Bud pursued advanced training in mechanical engineering and biomechanics earning his doctorate from the George Washington University. Indulging his passion for research, Bud served as an Adjunct Professor at the George Washington University, Senior Research Scientist at GWU’s FHWA/NHTSA National Crash Analysis, as Test Manager of the Federal Outdoor Impact Laboratory (FOIL) at the Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center (TFHRC), and as a Research Engineer at the Ford Motor Company Safety Research and Development Department. Bud honed his managerial bio during his tenure as Director of Surface Transportation at QinetiQ North America.
Michael (Mike) Willis understands that engineering and technology challenges often entail interacting complex variables. His experience and creativity help him develop innovative solutions for KEA’s manufacturing customers. A gifted leader, Mike can intuitively deconstruct formidable engineering programs into manageable projects, matching skilled personnel with tasks for which they are well-suited and ensuring excellent results and superior customer service.
Mike’s organizational management principles have been refined through more than two decades of managing multi-million dollar programs in the private and government sectors. He has two Bachelor degrees from Clarkson University: one in Civil Engineering and a second in Interdisciplinary Engineering & Management.
A people-person at heart, Mike enthusiastically serves KEA customers with a strong commitment to exceeding their expectations and ensuring that our testing services meet their expectations and objectives. In service to the customer, Mike is always searching for ways to “do it better” and formally seeks continuous process improvement.
Dr. Kelly Ozdemir combines her decades of experience in technology and engineering, science, and advanced education to bring a unique perspective to her role at KEA and analyze complex problems from many angles. With over 20 years of experience in behavioral research, correlating physiological measurements with cognition, conducting data field collection and performing advanced statistical analyses – time and again, Kelly develops invaluable solutions that advance our customers’ organizations.
Armed with exceptional past work experience and a solid educational foundation, Kelly is a problem-solver, able to successfully combine scientific and human individual elements for top tier solutions. Kelly knows that a one-size-fits-all approach is not what our customers want, nor deserve. She is also directly responsible for leading our engineering and chemistry teams and is a true believer in developing our staff. A n excellent mentor, Kelly is a much-valued leader.
Kelly received her M.S in Clinical Psychology and her Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from the Cognition, Brain, and Behavior Department at Syracuse University.
Remi Fournier brings energy, enthusiasm, and passion for success to KEA’s programs and customers. Remi is laser-focused on customer attention, understanding and satisfaction. With nearly three decades of experience, Remi has been directly responsible for all facets of small, medium and large multi-million dollar programs. In his role as KEA Director of Programs, Remi knows that it takes an outstanding team to deliver superb services and products to its Customers.
A registered Professional Engineer in multiple States and a certified PMI® Project Management Professional, Remi combines the disciplined approach to program execution with the unique needs of each project and customer to deliver every time. Remi has led team projects and programs as a prime contractor and well as support subcontractors in the public, private and government sectors. He pulls from a vast library of experiences to put “himself in others shoes” and deliver efficient, effective, high quality results. Remi is consistently looking to himself and the team for improvement and better ways to solve our customers’ problems. As a sports enthusiast, – including hockey, biking, off-road motor vehicles, and obstacle races – Remi focuses on the core principles of working hard and bringing your “A” game – Everyday. Remi weaves this winning attitude into the soul of what we do at KEA.
Bill Bentley is the Director of Engineering at KEA, where he leads the engineering team and specifically manages the integration of products into vehicles for human subject driving. He is a key senior member for KEA’s research and testing work with The Driver Alcohol Detection System for Safety (DADSS) Program, a research program bringing together the Automotive Coalition for Traffic Safety (ACTS), which represents the world’s leading automakers, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in one of the most important government and private sector partnerships in recent years. DADSS is part of a multi-faceted national commitment to reduce and help eliminate drunk driving.
Bill and his team work closely with KEA’s product manufacturing customers to ensure due diligence for safety and compliance of customer product releases and updates. He leads KEA’s innovation in engineering solutions to make the world a safer place through the delivery of state-of-the-art products that meet the world's most stringent compliance requirements.
Bill holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island with a concentration in Solid Mechanics. He has over 25 years of experience in the development of innovative machinery and electro-mechanical safety products from concept through launch for various transportation and global industrial markets. Awarded with 7 patents related to this work, Bill also holds particular expertise in developing IoT products for wireless and smart sensors, developing business processes for new product development and change management, and leading project management teams.
Tim Allen brings more than 20 years of experience to KEA, working for pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies where he successfully and continuously brought new products to market and ensured the quality of processes. A proven people leader with very strong analytical and communication skills, he is a seasoned analytical chemist with expertise in leading teams that develop and validate test methods. He also has had key roles in quality assurance and regulatory affairs. His background includes data management and biostatistics, and he has extensive experience in developing tools for the automation of data collection, statistical analysis, and reporting of results.
Michelle Rich is an assertive business manager and financial analyst with longstanding experience in managing the finances of multi-million-dollar government programs. With a degree in business management, Michelle institutes accurate earned value management and analysis providing integral feedback to customers.
Michelle works tirelessly to ensure that KEA staff understands the financial status of the programs they manage facilitating transparent staff-customer relations. Michelle leaves no stone unturned when identifying financial and business solutions. She is committed to going the extra mile for KEA customers and staff.
Rob DiCicco is Corporate Controller for KEA Technologies. Prior to KEA, Rob was the Corporate Controller for OmniGuide, a private equity backed medical laser company in Lexington, MA. While at OmniGuide, he worked in an M&A capacity during two of the firm’s acquisitions. In addition, he brought the firms audits current, which enabled the financing to take place for both acquisitions. From 2013 to 2016, Rob worked as a Consultant providing controller services, financial planning & analysis, consolidations and technical accounting work for firms such as: Shire Pharmaceuticals, Perkin Elmer and KEA Technologies. From 2007 to 2013 Rob was a local Controller and later Global Finance Manager for Covidien. As Global Finance Manager for the Soft Tissue Franchise, his scope of responsibility included over 500 million in revenue.
